Deck Bot delivers new insights that appeared daily into your Slack channel of choice.

Insights Delivery to Slack

Deck can send a daily summary of newly discovered insights directly to a Slack channel of your choice. This keeps your team informed about fresh customer feedback without needing to open the Deck app.

How It Works

Every day, Deck checks whether any new insights were created for your organization in the past 24 hours. If there are new insights, Deck formats them into a clear, organized message and posts it to your configured Slack channel.

The daily notification includes:

  • New insights grouped by category (Pain Points, Feature Requests, Bugs, Delight, etc.)
  • Insight names and customer quotes so you can quickly understand what customers are saying
  • Theme associations showing which broader themes the new insights belong to

If there are no new insights on a given day, Deck skips the notification to keep your channel noise-free.

Enabling Insight Notifications

To start receiving daily insight summaries in Slack:

  1. Make sure Slack is connected to your Deck organization (see the Slack setup guide)
  2. Go to Settings > Integrations > Slack
  3. Enable Insight Notifications
  4. Select the Slack channel where you want to receive the daily summary

The Deck Bot must be a member of the target channel. If it is not already, invite it by typing /invite Deck in that channel.

What the Notifications Look Like

Each notification is formatted using Slack's Block Kit for easy readability. Insights are grouped by category, and each insight shows its name and the original customer quote. The message also includes a link back to Deck so you can explore the insights in more detail.

Configuring the Delivery Channel

You can change the delivery channel at any time:

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations > Slack
  2. Update the channel selection under Insight Notifications
  3. The next daily notification will be sent to the new channel

Tips

  • Choose a channel your product team monitors: This ensures the right people see new feedback as it comes in.
  • Pair with Daily Channel Synthesis: Combine insight notifications with daily channel synthesis for a complete feedback loop — Deck reads from your Slack channels and writes summaries back.
  • Use a dedicated channel: Consider creating a channel like #deck-insights to keep notifications organized and easy to find.
