Reindexing Settings
Enable monthly insights reorganization and monitor taxonomy health for your organization
Reindexing Settings
Deck can automatically reorganize your insights taxonomy each month — merging duplicate themes, fixing misplaced insights, and removing stale category contamination. Navigate to Settings → Reindexing to manage this feature.
Monthly Reorganization
When enabled, Deck runs a monthly pass over your organization's insights to detect and correct structural drift:
- Duplicate themes — themes that have converged in meaning over time are merged automatically
- Misplaced insights — insights assigned to the wrong theme or category are moved to better matches
- Category contamination — insights incorrectly tagged with unrelated categories are corrected
Only organization admins can enable or disable monthly reorganization.
Enabling Monthly Reorganization
- Go to Settings → Reindexing
- Toggle Enable monthly reorganization on
- Deck will include your organization in the next monthly run (runs on the 1st of each month)
Reorganization Assurance
After each monthly run, a summary appears on this page showing:
- Run date — when the reorganization completed
- Outcome — whether the run succeeded, partially completed, or failed
- Operation counts — how many theme merges, insight moves, and cleanup operations were applied
- Quality delta — a summary of how the changes affected your taxonomy structure
If no runs have completed yet, the assurance panel will indicate that the first run is pending.
Run Statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Completed | All operations applied successfully |
| Partial | Some operations applied; others were skipped due to low confidence |
| Failed | The run encountered an error and was not applied |
Reorganization changes are applied automatically. If you notice unexpected theme merges or insight moves, contact your workspace admin or Deck support.
