Product context

Product information

Product information explains what you actually ship: your core modules, workflows, surfaces, and the main value they deliver.

Think of this as the “tour of the product” you would give to a PM joining the team or a sales engineer ramping up — focused on functionality and value, not roadmap.

This context helps Deck’s Agents map feedback to the right parts of your product and understand how different features connect.

Best practices for product information

  • Describe core modules and workflows: Break your product into major areas (e.g. “Dashboard, Workflows, Reporting, Admin”) and explain what each is for.
  • Connect to user goals: For each module, describe what users are trying to accomplish and what “success” looks like.
  • Include canonical flows: Call out the 3–5 most important journeys (e.g. “invite a teammate”, “launch a new campaign”, “approve an invoice”).
  • Note constraints and edge cases: Mention important limitations, dependencies, or regulations that shape how the product behaves.
  • Avoid roadmap details: Focus on what exists and how it works today so Deck can interpret feedback against the current experience.

Example product descriptions

  • B2B SaaS – Revenue Operations Platform
Our product has three main modules: Pipeline Workspace, Data Health, and Forecasting. Pipeline Workspace lets sales managers create and manage views of opportunities across teams. Data Health surfaces duplicate or missing CRM data and guides reps through clean‑up workflows. Forecasting aggregates opportunity data into roll‑up forecasts for sales and finance leaders.

  • Fintech – SMB Payments & Invoicing
Merchants create branded invoices, send them via email or link, and accept card or ACH payments through our hosted payment page. An Invoices tab shows outstanding and paid invoices, while a Payouts tab shows when funds will land in their bank account. A light Client Manager lets them see history per customer without needing a full CRM.

  • Healthcare – Patient Engagement Platform
Our platform sends appointment reminders via SMS and email, lets patients confirm or reschedule, and syncs those changes back to the EHR. A Campaigns area supports bulk educational messages to specific patient cohorts. An Analytics module shows trends in no‑show rates, response rates, and preferred channels by demographic.
