Connect Salesforce to Deck to enrich insights with CRM context.

Salesforce is a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software that, within Deck, enables your organization to sync customer Accounts and Contacts directly to insights in Deck.

Once Salesforce is connected to your workspace, Deck automatically enriches your customer feedback data — letting you filter, segment, and prioritize insights by real business metrics.


Why connect Salesforce?

Integrating Salesforce with Deck allows your team to:

  • Unify context — tie every insight to the right customer record.
  • Segment intelligently — filter themes and insights by Salesforce fields like ARR, Lifecycle Stage, Industry, or Churn Risk.
  • Prioritize with confidence — understand which customers are affected by specific problems, and which accounts matter most.
  • Report impact faster — show how product decisions relate to revenue, retention, and other CRM metrics.

Example questions Deck can answer with Salesforce

Once connected, Deck can help you answer questions such as:

  1. What were our highest-paying customers’ pain points last quarter?
  2. Which churned customers mentioned implementation friction?
  3. Are expansion-stage accounts requesting specific integrations?
  4. How do product issues differ between SMB vs. Enterprise customers?
  5. What themes correlate most with upsell opportunities?

How the integration works

  1. Enable Salesforce
    Go to Settings → Integrations → Salesforce, and connect your org. Deck uses OAuth to securely authenticate your account.

  2. Choose which properties to sync
    During setup, you’ll select which Account and Contact fields to bring in (e.g. ARR, Industry, Customer Tier, etc.).
    Deck stores only the fields you select.

  3. Automatic enrichment
    When new feedback or interviews are uploaded, Deck matches them to the right customer record.
    For example:

    • Feedback from "Acme Inc." will automatically link to the Acme Account in Salesforce.
    • Insights generated from that feedback will inherit selected CRM properties.

💡 Deck does not modify your Salesforce data — it only reads selected fields for enrichment.


Mapping custom fields

Because each Salesforce setup is unique, Deck allows you to map your own field names to internal Deck properties.

For example:
If one customer's ARR field is arr__c and another's is annual_revenue, both can be mapped to "ARR" in Deck for consistent reporting.


Data refresh & security

  • Data is refreshed automatically every 24 hours or on demand.
  • Deck never writes to Salesforce — it only reads data.
  • All data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
  • You can disconnect Salesforce anytime from the Integrations page.

We do not store any of your Salesforce data in our own databases besides customer ID and account ID.
